2020 Men’s Season – Postponed Until Spring 2021

Michigan Water Polo Association (MWPA) made the decision to move forward with the Men’s season in the spring simultaneously with the Women’s season.  More details about this decision can be found here:

2020 Season Announcements

From the MHSAA:  Fall sports will be played as traditionally scheduled, but with contingency concepts for potential interruptions due to COVID-19.

Based on this announcement,  the Cobra’s 2020 season is planned to begin as usual with practices resuming on August 12th.

We will be announcing our practice, game and tournament schedule very soon, please stay tuned for updates.

2019 Practice Schedule

Please note that all updates to the practice schedule can be found live on our team Google Calendar by clicking the “Calendar” tab on the website.  All players should have both dry land clothes and a bathing suit each day for practice.  Tentative Weekly Practice Schedule beginning August 14th:  

August:

Monday & Thursday – 3:30 – 6:00 p.m.

Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday – 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.

September / October:

Monday through Friday – 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.

2018 Practice Schedule

The fall sports season officially kicks off on Wednesday, August 8th, with weekday practices at Central in the evenings (exact times will be announced soon).  Last year, practices ran from 5pm – 8pm.

Prior to August 8th, team captains are permitted to run “informal” dry land conditioning/workouts for the team.  These workouts will take place Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 11-1pm starting this week up until the season officially starts.  If you need more information about these practices and their locations, please contact the team further information.
